I have good news to report. It is now cooler ouside than it is inside. This is a happy day. Of course, it's still 79 degrees out there, but it's 82 in here. So that gives me something to work with at least.

Thankfully, because in addition to being cranky due to the heat, the heat and humidity and closed-up-edness were starting to bring out a funky old house smell. And old house smell is nothing like new car smell. It doesn't smell like garbage or feet or anything like that. (So, no, before you comment, it's not me. I have not gotten so stinky that I can smell myself.) It just smells old. Sort of stuffy, dusty, antique-y. I think it seeps into the carpet and the plaster and wood. And while Febreeze is a blessing, it can't counter 150 years of old.

But, hurray for cold fronts! And hopefully, by the time it gets hot again, we'll have the air conditioner issues sorted out. (TJ -- I'm counting on you.......)
