I don't understand why this hotel has 5 ESPN channels -- ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN Classics, and ESPN Deportes (yes, that's right, in Spanish)-- but no MTV, VH1, or E! Sometimes a girl just wants to watch a little E!. I think this shows a discrimination against female business travellers. There must be someone I can sue. This is America after all.

I know I don't look like the average business traveller, but I bet I have more business trips under my belt than a good chunk of the typical 50 year old, overweight, balding, USA Today-reading, khakis and polo shirt-clad white male business travellers. They're also always slightly sweaty (just enough to be gross), chronically grouchy, and either look at me like I don't belong in the frequent flier boarding line or as their daughter. I get that condescending "Oh, aren't you just so cute, playing a grownup" look a lot.

In any case, I am glad I will never be a 50 year old, overweight, balding, USA Today-reading, khakis and polo shirt-clad white male business traveller. Best I can hope for is to be one of those 50 year old ugly-shoed, panty hose-wearing, over-hairsprayed female business travellers. But at least they aren't usually sweaty. Such a bright future. At least by then, I won't want my MTV. The hotel does have the Oxygen network and Lifetime. I think I'd be satisfied with that at 50. Ah, yes... Such a bright future.
