2016
Why is there all this stuff already in the news about the 2008 election? It's everywhere. Will Hillary run? What about Jeb? Is Howard Dean screaming at anyone? What about John Kerry's grades in college -- can he run again with grades like that? Should we change the rules for Arnold? Um, yeah. It's 2005. We just had an election, remember? 2004? Ohio? Swift Boats? The religous right? Ringing a bell anyone? It was like 8 months ago. That means we have 40 months to go. A bit too early for all this discussion perhaps? Just a touch premature? Can we hold out a while? I think starting the campaigns in July of 08 would be reasonable. (If you can't make your point in 4 months, you probably don't have one.) But since that won't happen, can we wait till at least like 2007? Late 2007 perhaps? Give it a rest already! Find some other news (it's out there, really, I promise). 2016, baby. Watchout. I'm running. I'm going to start my campaign now. I mean, clearly, I need the time. I figure by 2016 I can have a damn catchy campaign slogan...
