Expiration Date
Apparently, things you buy as a freshman in college die about 8 years later. In the past 2 weeks, my hairdryer, alarm clock and iron have all died. I bought them all when I went away to school. I'm not sure what's going on. It's like some sort of conspiracy. But until now, they all were quite faithful. That hairdryer was kicking right up until its untimely death (with only half my hair dry). And the iron, it at one point seared something plastic, it was a little funky in its last years. But I try not to iron, so it's OK. The alarm clock, well, technically, it still worked. I just couldn't reset the alarm, so I was destined to get up at 6:38 every morning. And sometimes, I prefer 6:51. So to anyone who started college in 1998, watch out. All your stuff is about to break. Two graduations this weekend. So excited, I can't even tell you. You mean I get to sit in uncomfortable chairs and hear Pomp & Circumstance twice? In two days? How lucky am I?!? But they're for my sister and my brother, so I guess I kind of have to go. But, but, half day Fridays start tomorrow. From here till the end of September, every Friday is a half day. Can't complain about that. Sometimes, my job isn't so bad. Sure, I travel excessively and spend the rest of the time excessively bored. But where else can you say, "Oh, can't we just put an elf on the package?" That doesn't work on Olay. That's all folks. Have a lovely evening.
